Important Note: If you have purchased your planner to use on GoodNotes, it includes the stickers already pre-cropped and ready to use. These instructions only apply if you are installing separate sticker packs or using an application other than GoodNotes.
Installing 3rd Party Apps for Unzipping Files
You will need an app that can unzip the stickers file. For iPads, I prefer the application called iZip. There is a free version which is perfectly fine to use – just ignore the ads. There are other programs you can explore for unzipping files on both Android and iOS devices. You could also choose to download and unzip on your computer and then transfer to your device.
For this walkthrough, we’ll stick to doing it all on a tablet.
Unzipping on iPad / iOS with iZip
Step 4 – Click on “iZip” and then click “Add”. This will save the zip file to iZip.
Step 5 – Go into the iZip application, and you’ll see your sticker zip file
Step 6 – Tap the file and it will ask if you want to unzip all files, say OK.
Step 7 – You will now see all the individual folders with the stickers. You’ll need to go into each folder and select the sticker images.
Step 8 – Select the images and click the Save icon. This will save them to your photo album.
Adding Stickers to Your Application
The last step is to bring these into your application to use in your planner. My recommendation is to make a completely separate sticker book in your application. You could put them in the planner – but you are going to want to reuse stickers from year to year, and probably buy more stickers. Making a separate sticker book makes sense to keep everything in one place and reusable.
For each PNG file, simply choose the Add Image icon in your application, and add the stickers you saved to your camera roll photos. Please check your applications help files if you need assistance with this.
